Adv. Israel IRAZIRIKANA is a seasoned legal professional with 14 years of experience, currently serving as Managing Partner at Amilex Chambers. He joined the firm in 2017 as a Senior Associate, became a Partner in 2021, and took over as Managing Partner in 2023. He is an active member of both the Rwanda Bar Association (RBA) and the East Africa Law Society (EALS). He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Business Law from the University of Rwanda, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) from the Institute of Legal Practice. He also holds a Master’s in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (MPSCM) from Mount Kenya University.

Prior to joining Amilex Chambers, he worked at the Rwanda Revenue Authority as a Legal Advisor, where he significantly contributed to tax law formulation and handling taxpayer disputes. He later served as Legal Advisor at Horizon Sopyrwa Ltd, where he was pivotal in managing national and international contracts and played a key role in supply chain management alongside handling logistics-related legal matters. After that he joined the National Bank of Rwanda as Contract Manager. In this position, he was actively involved in preparing national and international contracts and served as a member of the Central Bank’s Contract Management Committee.

Currently, Adv. Irazirikana is a respected legal practitioner in Rwanda’s business and corporate law landscape. He specializes in business law, with significant experience in corporate transactions, contract law, and labour law. His expertise extends to drafting contracts, managing disputes, supply chain legal issues, advising on human resource policies, and real estate matters. He has advised and represented various corporations, as well as governmental and non-governmental entities, before courts of law, arbitration and negotiation sessions. He is fluent in English, French, and Kinyarwanda, with proficiency in Kiswahili.
