The firm has been in existence since 2017 and is the result of a merger between two law firms: Amicus Jurists, established in March 2014 and Innovation Lex Law Firm, established in February 2017

Amilex Chambers has developed extensive expertise in the legal industry in Rwanda. It also has sufficient knowledge and experience in the region, particularly in East Africa. Amilex Chambers has partnered with Groupe AJF Corporation, a law firm based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, to provide mutual support and collaborate on cross-border cases in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo
